About
Perhaps introductions are in order.
My name is Martyn, i live in Auckland, New Zealand and my job is Boatbuilding. Ive also been skateboarding for the past 22years. Yeah, oldschool lol.
My love affair with the AE86 started 20 years ago when my cousin picked up a second hand zenki GTV version japanese import.
Besides this project (86) ive built a 12a powered ke25, ke20, 1275 mini clubman, Datsun 1200 sedan, Mk1 escort 2dr, ’93 Mitsi GSR and had some lame dailys (none comparing to my current one which is the most boring car ever made).
Anyway, besides AE86′s I have a love for classic Japanese steel and other old automotive classics.
This weblog is named “86life”, so you might assume that the content would be exclusively 86′s. Not so.
I kinda feel like the 86 life encompasses many different aspects of motoring life and life in general.Hopefully this will show in the content within. I get inspired by a pretty broad range of styles and as with everything in life try to find the positives.
So thats the intro, hope you enjoy the posts and look foward to your feedback.

Hey Simon. Good to hear from you. I can see you have an AE86 OCD condition. Have to keep the location secret to keep prowlers at bay, too many parts etc. I’ll add you to the blogroll too.
Cheers!
