I’m still here.

Long time, no post…
Unfortunately my smallport engine failed due to 3 of the ball bearings pressed into the oil ways in the head becoming unstuck and wreaking havoc on the heads internals. Things being as the are, it’s getting difficult (and expensive) to source good 16V parts. 16V smallport parts seem to be the worse affected as many are now hoarding them away.
Enter the blacktop 20V.

The decision was made to go down this road and a sub 90k blacktop engine has been sourced. It’s still early days but the engine has been completely rebuilt with the addition of silvertop rods and an SQ ENGINEERING rwd conversion kit.
Anyways, I’m still here. Should be done shortly….

    Looking good!
Interesting rod choice, from what i’ve read the BT rods have the strength where it is required. The BT ones get a bad rep. Mind you, this is all stuff i have read. Nothing in practice. Are you staying N/A?
What are your plans ECU and loom wise?
Does the SQ kit take allot of the headache out of the install of this engine? The dizzy relocation looks like a simple way to resolve one of the larger PITA areas of this engine install.
